Provoke conversation through imagination
I spent the first 11 weeks of my internship at TikTok completing 4 projects. Those projects all had excellent PMs and detailed documentation. Each project was data-driven, with small iterations based on past business and trends.
When I was preparing the final presentation, I wanted to make a proposal - "TikTok concept campaign". Encourage all different roles to do something bold and innovative, not limited by data, not limited by trends, not even limited by technology. Go ahead and imagine what your ideal TikTok should look like. It can be a simple concept, or a fragment. The goal is to provoke a dialogue between different characters and keep TikTok alive for a long time. So, I made this demo project in 5 days.
With the desktop widget and the TikTok card, the project wanted to achieve one core goal: to encourage users to create.

At the final presentation of my internship, I presented the project to the global product designers of TikTok. My managers forwarded and disseminated the concept to the product managers as well. Although the project won't really blossom anytime soon, perhaps it has planted a seed of magic.
